Inspiration Mudroom
When designing a mudroom, think of how your family will utilize the space. Smaller children are more likely to hang their coats on a hook, versus opening a door to put on a hanger. Having an open slot to place shoes may be used more frequently than having to pull out a drawer and place shoes inside. A compartment for each family member will be more organized than a catch-all mudroom, if possible. Add a unique touch with a sliding barn door to hide the mudroom when not in use, if you have the wall space.
Complete the look of your mudroom by installing a bench
seat. This is particularly handy in the colder months when you need to bundle
up and put on winter boots. Children can use the bench when putting on their
shoes.
Inspiration Mudroom
If you have limited space, put a small mudroom in your
laundry room. A stackable washer and dryer gives you the extra space to install
a seated mudroom with storage options.
Add a storage closet to keep sports equipment, seasonal
items and cleaning supplies. There are unlimited options with hooks and racks
to hold your scarves, coats, hats, etc.
